My 101 Things in 1,001 Days List

My 101 Things in 1,001 Days List

Hey lovlies, I have finally officially jumped on the “101 in 1,0001 days” train. I am not sure where this originated, but according to Pinterest it seems to have been around for quite a while. There are several posts out there about why this is a great list to make, and with different lists. I just wanted to say why I am now doing it and put my list out there for some accountability.

Why I am Making a 101 things to do in 1,001 Days List

I like to make monthly goals but have recently had some challenges  with follow through on them because they lacked  clear direction. I also tried to make a 10 year plan a few months ago, to try and give myself some direction. However, 10 years is just way too far out because there are so many things I just do not know about myself yet (such as where I want my career to go). Even 5 years seems too far to plan for now.

Of course I have seen these lists on Pinterest and I thought that maybe this would help give my monthly goals direction without having to have more things figured out. I figured, why not give it a try and I actually really enjoyed making the list. Creating the list actually helped me see a bit more of he direction I want my life heading in.

How I Made My List of 101 Things

When creating my list of 101 things, I started by looking at certain areas of my life, and started with things I want to do now (or as soon as possible) and where I want to go after that. This process is what really helped me with providing insight in the direction I want my life to go. As far as the areas of my life to focus on I initially thought about categorizing it based off the Level 10 Life categories.  However, those just did not really suit me well at this time in my life. Some I wanted to focus more one while others blend together for me.

Instead, I started by looking at the areas of my life that I wanted to focus a lot on over the next few years: financial, health, relationships. Things just sort of fell into place from there as I thought of additional things I wanted to achieve. That being said, the categories are similar to the Level 10 Life categories, as it was sort of my starting point.
